Memory Match (“the app”) is a card-matching game published by Nikhil Sharma (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. It applies to the app on Android and iOS.

Summary
- The game works fully offline and without an account. Your progress is stored on your device.
- Ads are shown through Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising ID. In regions that require it you are asked for consent first.
- We use Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. These are not linked to your name, email or account.
- Signing in to a player account is optional and only used to save and restore your progress. You can delete your account at any time in the app or by requesting deletion.
- We never sell your personal data.
1. Information stored on your device
The game saves the following data locally on your device:
- settings such as sound, music, theme, language, card style and chosen game mode;
- statistics, personal bests, daily challenge history, level stars and achievements;
- coins, lives, items (such as boosters and streak freezes), the login reward calendar and daily missions;
- which in-app purchases you own (for example Remove ads).
This data stays on your device unless you sign in to a player account (see section 6). Uninstalling the app or using Settings → Reset all progress deletes it.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for in-game rewards. To serve, measure and prevent fraud in ads, Google may collect and process:
- device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID or, if you allow tracking, the iOS IDFA;
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- device information (model, operating system, language) and diagnostic and interaction data about the ads shown.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and some US states you are asked for consent through Google’s consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. On iOS the app asks for permission to track; if you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.
Buying Remove ads stops the full-screen ads shown between levels; optional rewarded ads remain available.

3. Usage analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
To find bugs and understand which parts of the game are played, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect:
- game events, such as starting or finishing a level, the mode and difficulty, coins earned or spent and screens opened;
- crash reports: the error, app version, device model, operating system and the last game events before the crash;
- a random app instance ID created by Firebase, which is reset when you uninstall the app.
This data is not linked to your name, email address or player account, and it is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers. Google processes it on our behalf; see Privacy and Security in Firebase.
The app also uses Firebase In-App Messaging to show announcements inside the game, and Firebase Remote Config to tell old versions of the app that an update is needed. Both use a random Firebase installation ID and the same game events to decide what to show; neither is linked to you or used for advertising.
4. Notifications (optional)
Daily reminders
If you turn on reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device using your operating system. Nothing is sent to us or to any server. Turn them off in Settings → Reminders or in your device’s notification settings.
News & offers
If you allow notifications, the app can receive messages about new events, features and gifts through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. To deliver them, Firebase assigns a random push token that is tied to the app on your device, not to you. Turn these messages off in Settings → Reminders → News & offers, which deletes the token, or in your device’s notification settings.
5. In-app purchases
The app offers optional purchases: Remove ads, a Starter bundle and coin packs. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms and privacy policies. We never receive your payment card or billing details; the app only receives confirmation from the store that a purchase was made, so it can deliver the item. Coins and items are virtual, are for use in the game only and have no real-world monetary value.
6. Player account and cloud save (optional)
You can sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS) to back up your progress and continue on another device. If you do:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) receives an account ID and, where the sign-in service shares them, your name and email address. With Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case Apple shares a relay address. Play Games and Game Center share your player name and ID but no email address.
- If you choose Facebook, sign-in runs through Meta’s Facebook SDK, which shares your name, email address and Facebook ID with us under Meta’s Privacy Policy. We have turned off the SDK’s automatic app events and advertising ID collection; it still contacts Meta to fetch its settings when the app starts.
- Your game progress (statistics, achievements, daily challenge history, level stars, medals, coins, items, the login reward calendar, player level, opened chests, event progress and unlocked styles) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account ID. Security rules ensure only you can read or change it. Settings, lives, daily missions and purchases are not stored in your account.
This data is used only to save and restore your progress. It is never used for advertising and is not shared with anyone other than Google (Firebase), which processes it on our behalf.
7. Google Play Games and Game Center (optional)
If you sign in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS), your scores and achievements are sent to that service, together with your player name, so it can show leaderboards and achievements. Earlier versions of the app saved progress to Play Games saved games or iCloud; the app now only reads that copy once, when you sign in to a player account, to bring your progress over. This data is governed by Google’s or Apple’s privacy policy, and you can delete it from the Play Games app or your Game Center and iCloud settings.
8. Sharing results
The Share button opens your device’s share sheet with a short text summary of your game. Nothing is sent unless you pick an app to share with, and we do not receive what you share.
9. Device permissions
- Internet and network state – to load ads, sign in, sync your save and send analytics and crash reports.
- Notifications – only if you allow them, for reminders and news & offers.
- Run at startup – to reschedule your reminders after the device restarts.
- Advertising ID and Android ad services (Android) / App Tracking Transparency (iOS) – for ads, as described in section 2.
- Google Play billing – for in-app purchases.
- Vibration – for haptic feedback and notifications.
The app does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
10. Third-party services
The app relies on these services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google – AdMob, Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging, Remote Config, Authentication, Firestore), Google Sign-In, Play Games Services, Google Play billing and Google Play in-app updates;
- Apple – Sign in with Apple, Game Center and App Store purchases (iOS);
- Meta – Facebook Login, only if you choose it.
11. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)
- Consent – personalised ads, notifications and app tracking on iOS. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or your device settings.
- Contract – providing your player account, cloud save and purchases you request.
- Legitimate interests – non-personalised ads that keep the game free, crash reports and anonymous usage statistics that help us fix bugs and improve the game.
12. Data retention
- Data stored on your device stays there until you reset your progress or uninstall the app.
- Your player account and cloud save are kept until you delete them.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in Firebase, at most 14 months.
- Ad data is retained by Google according to its own policies.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing and to withdraw consent. You can:
- change ad consent in Settings → Privacy choices;
- delete your account and cloud save in Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page;
- clear all local data with Settings → Reset all progress or by uninstalling the app;
- email us at obscure.nike@gmail.com for any other request. We reply within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
14. Security
Data sent between the app and Google’s services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud saves are protected by Firebase security rules so that each player can only reach their own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
15. International transfers
Our service providers, including Google, may process data on servers outside your country. They use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
16. Children
Memory Match is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
17. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the app’s data practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above.
